What a lovely recipe perfect after undergoing a root canal treatment from a champaign il dentist! The enzymes from those fruits will allow the gums to heal faster, not to mention the smoochy ice will ease the pain away. Who needs meds if you can prepare those juice anyway, right! Spot on!

Some vegetables are known to cause thyroid problems and I would not recommend using them unless you’re adding seaweed or Himalayan salt for iodine. Goitrogenic vegetables can actually do more harm then good! Raw vegetables that are goiterogenic can wreak havoc with your system. Alternatively, Try using coconut, a few chunks of fresh pineapple, mints, bay leaves, oregano, various thymes, dandelions, fennel, anise etc for added flavors and benefits. In addition, beware of kidney stone producers such as parsley, green chard, spinach, kale, citrus rinds etc!

Hi Robin! Yes, this is very true. I wrote a post about juicing and oxalates and meant to circle back and write about goitrogenic veggies but have yet to do it. Thanks for reminding me I need to get that posted!

The skin of the veggie and fruit is often the most nourishing. The problem is that the skin is often bitter. So try peeling only 50% of the skin of the carrot. I can’t stand any of the rind of citrus fruits, though I know people who juice entire lemons and limes, peels and all.

I have juiced my fair share of citrus peels and UGGGG! I don’t know how people do that!
