Expert Advice or Personal Experience?
I am not an expert. At all. I want to inspire you to take what I have written, do further research if needed and apply it to your family and your life. I am not suggesting that my way is the best way. It works for me, my daughter, and our family. My lifestyle may not work for anyone else. My goal is simply to share what I believe to be solid information.
All of the information I provide related to health, wellness, food/nutrition, and toxic mold is based on research from sources I trust and deem credible. I love PubMed and often site medical studies from their collection of over 28 million medical and health studies.
When it comes to toxic mold, I rely heavily on my personal interactions with and the professional research and case studies conducted by Dr. Jack Thrasher, PhD. Dr. Thrasher specialized in Toxicology since 1966 and Immunotoxicology since 1986. He worked as a consultant to toxicology laboratories and three human diagnostic laboratories. He was an expert witness in government, defense and plaintiff cases. Dr. Thrasher published peer-reviewed research papers on the toxic effects of various chemicals, bacteria, molds and mycotoxins on animals and humans. These included the immunotoxicology of formaldehyde, organophosphate insecticides, chlorinated insecticides, solvents, isocyanates hydrogen sulfide, and molds and bacteria in water-damaged homes and buildings.
I also spent several years under the care of Dr. Janette Hope, owner of Hope Environmental Medicine. Through her, I learned how to begin detoxing and healing from toxic mold exposure.
Remember, I am not a doctor or a licensed medical professional and am not dispensing any medical advice, diagnosing or treating any illness, injury or ailment. I am merely providing research to spur your forward in a healthier lifestyle. Before making any changes that would impact your health, always consult your trusted medical care provider.
