Coconut Oil Furniture Polish Recipe

By Jennifer Updated: January 19, 2020. First published: February 28, 2016. This post may contain affiliate links. 1 Comment

This is quite possibly the shortest, most succinct post I have ever written. But I sort of had to write it. Why you ask? Because I get lots of emails asking me about coconut oil furniture polish. More specifically – how I use coconut oil to polish my furniture.

I basically use it one of two ways. First I dust the furniture. Then I grab a soft cloth, dip it in the coconut oil, and gently rub the coconut oil into the furniture. A little goes a long way!

My second method is more of a furniture cleaner and polisher all in one. So you don’t need to dust first. Simply mix 1 tablespoon of melted coconut oil with 1/3 cup of lemon juice. Shake vigorously and lightly spray your furniture with the lemon coconut oil. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.

Bam! Coconut oil furniture polish.

How easy is that?

Public Service Announcement – be sure to test the coconut oil on an inconspicuous area first. Also, not all coconut oil brands are created equal. Some don’t play nice with furniture. They leave a bit of a residue behind. I have found that Tropical Traditions Expellar Pressed coconut oil is a good brand to use on furniture. Plus it comes in a small container so you can just dip your cloth in and designate that jar as the cleaning coconut oil!  Check out these two products – I think you will love them as much as I do.

And while you are in the business of checking things out – be sure to take a moment to learn about the many uses of coconut oil, if you don’t already know. Oh – don’t forget to check out how to use coconut oil on your vehicles!

Looking for an easy to find, easy to use, and super frugal natural furniture polish recipe? Look no further than coconut oil furniture polish! Brought to you by HybridRastaMama.com
